East Ayrshire Young Labour make their voices heard. A group of young activists want to make sure Scottish Labour make a positive impact of the lives of young people. As part of their efforts to support Scottish Labour they want to make sure policies nationaly and locally reflect the needs of young people.
Launching their campaign Alasdair McGhee a young member said 'Politics is about everyone and it is important young people are involved. Young people need to be part of the process, this way more will feel it is worth taking part.'
Carol Mochan Scottish Labour Candidate for Carrick, Cumnock and Doon Valley attended a meeting to discuss how to involve young people and to see the launch of their facebook page. The group will be using all forms of social media to encourage people to get involved as well as holding streetstalls and educational events. Carol said 'It was fantastic to be part of such a lively debate, there is much enthusiasm in this group and we are lucky to have them as part of the Scottish Labour Campaign team'
