It's personal
Carol Mochan, the Scottish Labour candidate for Carrick Cumnock and Doon Valley, has made a strong personal appeal for support as the election campaign entered its final week. She said
"You will have had all the leaflets from the candidates outlining their policies and making political promises and pledges. I am making a personal appeal for your support. I am not a career politician. I was born in this constituency and went to school here. This is where I live and bring up my family. I have no political ambitions other than to serve this constituency well as your Labour representative, standing up for those who need someone on their side. But I can only do that if I am elected on May 5th. The best way to make sure that happens is to use both your votes for Scottish Labour on polling day."
